Why this site exists
Election2027.Live was built as a single, easy-to-navigate reference for the seven Indian state assembly elections expected across 2027 — Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Between them, these states account for over 940 assembly seats and more than a fifth of India's electorate. We wanted one place to see seat counts, timelines, constituencies and the parties in the fray, without wading through a dozen different sources.
Who we are
We're a small, independent team of civic-tech enthusiasts, students of Indian politics and volunteer developers. We are not journalists on the payroll of any media house, we do not receive funding from any political party, government body or candidate, and no one on this project holds office or works for a campaign.
What this site is — and isn't
This is an educational and informational project. It is not an official Election Commission of India resource, not affiliated with any government body, and not a substitute for official notifications, rolls or results. Where we reference seat numbers, constituency names or election dates, we link back to public sources so you can verify them yourself.
We do not endorse any political party or candidate. Where the site includes an opinion poll, it is a lightweight, anonymous, reader-engagement feature — not a scientifically sampled survey, and never presented as a prediction of results.
How we source information
Facts on this site are compiled from public records including the Election Commission of India, state Chief Electoral Officer publications, and established news reporting. Constituency-level data reflects the delimitation last used in each state's 2022 general election; we note on every state page where boundaries or reservations may be updated ahead of the 2027 notification.
Corrections
We're maintained by volunteers and mistakes happen. If you spot outdated information, a wrong seat count, or a factual error anywhere on the site, please get in touch — we read every message and correct genuine errors promptly.
Support
The site is free to use, with no login and no paywall, supported by minimal, clearly-labelled advertising. We don't sell reader data, and our Privacy Policy explains exactly what little we do collect.
